![]() ![]() The old skate races, backward skate, hokey pokey and other games kept the younger crowd active when skating in circles grew old. My favorite part of the visit was the pizza, I can't believe it's actually good. Usually skate rink food is terrible but I'd consider returning just for the pizza. I have to admit that I was one of the very few adults skating (great time) and that I want to go back more than my kids do. Rink Details: Passes valid for children 10 years old and younger. Just curious what crowd these sessions would attract.Note: Due to COVID-19 impacts, please contact merchant directly for updated hours. However, I talked to several staff about their 11a-4p sessions they have on Tues and Thurs but couldn't get anybody to tell me about them. Oh, another thing I like about this place, they keep their website/facebook updated. I fear looking like an idiot! So I looked like an idiot around strangers! Ha! All in all, I had a good time and will go back. I have a hard time practicing it at our local rink because I'm so self-concussions about it. It was good for me to hit a rink where I didn't know anyone because I got to practicing my shuffling, and had a dang good time doing it. However, for the most part the skating was good, everyone went the right way and everyone appeared to be having fun including the oldest guy there, me. It never failed though, every time one did, they would stretch their legs and feet out on the floor. One other thing that annoyed me, along the wall, there is a carpeted area about a foot off the ground, one or two feet wide that kids can sit on. If you don't want to skate, stand around OFF the rink. ![]() Lots of people just standing around the rink. Numerous kids without skates running out onto the floor or sometimes just walking around or standing there. They had 1, sometimes 2 skate guards, but there was still too much going on that shouldn't be. ![]() The not so good: Even though I went on a teen night, I feel the rink could be a bit more organized. Felt like you were skating in a club or something! Kindda neat, really dark but it was different. Plus it was a way to sell kids those glow sticks. I don't like skating to "Hold my Hand" by Hootie and the Blowfish! Here, every song was a high energy one even played a Disturbed song, what? Awesome! Very good lighting and sound, had a big screen in the corner, even had a fog machine not crazy bout that, but I wear contacts and I'm 32! They played a game called wipeout, fun kids game, they had races (finished 2nd!) and something I thought was neat, they had a blackout time where they turned all the lights out in the place except for the florescent ones. ![]() I think every song was a high energy song. Lots of fun! It's a smaller floor from our home rink but it's big enough to get around and never got overly crowded. Luckily I brought old faithfuls (Mojo 88A's!) with me and that fixed it. I originally started skating with my orange cannibals (against Melissa's n don't listen?) but after 5 rounds I had enough of sliding around. The place appeared well maintained, clean, and a safe environment. Had a skate shop area but it was geared for kids, no speed shop type stuff. Had all your typical rink activities, games, snack bar, party rooms. My first impression when I walked in the door was that this was a good place for kids to have fun. I've been really eager to go because I've never skated on concrete floor. I got a chance to visit this rink last night. ![]()
